Welcome, Mike!
We're so happy to be joined by folks living outside the gravitational pull of Cincinnati Chili, cheese and coneys who continue to feel it tugging at their taste buds...
:-)
WELCOME! And thanks so much for joining us here at Cheeseconey.com. This month's Chili story in Cincinnati Magazine is fabulous. http://www.cincinnatimagazine.com/article.aspx?id=78790
We'd love to include some excerpts here on the site…
Welcome, Charla!
I went to HS in Williamsburg, and remember how exciting it was to finally have a Gold Star nearby when they opened in Afton 25 or 30 years ago.

Welcome to CheeseConey.com, Dean! I like your journey story and the fact that you are sharing the chili experience with the next generation. Have a great day.
There are at least 22 Cincinnati Chili Parlors in the Greater Cincinnati area! Which have YOU tried? If it's fewer than 4 and you say you love Cincinnati Chili, you may need to do a CONEY CRAWL and try a few more for yourself!
Blue Ash Chili, Chili Time, Camp Washington Chili, Dixie Chili, Empress Chili, Gold Star Chili, Pleasant Ridge Chili, Price Hill Chili, Skyline Chili
TELL US MORE! - My Cincinnati Chili Story (A short intro, first time, last time, rant, limerick, haiku or personal chili mission statement)
My oldest brother drove a cab in college in the late 60s / early 70s and I used to wake up to the smell of cheese coneys when he'd bring some home at 3 in the morning... it definitely got into my DNA...
I love Cincinnati Chili. It's a unique and historical part of Greater Cincinnati culture and cuisine. People here who love it make it a life ritual to introduce others to the taste. This is a good place to share those stories...
About Me:
I grew up on the West AND East sides of Cincinnati. First in Bridgetown and Western Hills, then out east in Williamsburg (Clermont County) at the age of 14. The first franchise restaurant in Afton (the little town I lived in outside the nearly as small Williamsburg) was a Gold Star, which comforted me and made it seem that Western Hills wasn't quite so far away any more... I worked for GE Aircraft Engines for years and years before leaving to co-found NetCrafters Interactive in 1995. CheeseConey.com is a project of Deeper Directories, NetCrafters and cincy.com
